Talk to him

Talk to him about your fears (D3 Gold). I'd wager that for many good men, if they raised a baby from infancy, or even adopted a child later, they would whole heartedly consider it their child. Heck, my awesome step dad still considers me his daughter, even though he hasn't been married to my mother in years. He came into my life at 4, and has always been one of my greatest supports through thick and thin. A relationship with a child you raise is very special, blood or no blood.

I know one family that was both fertility challenged, and they adopted a baby girl. She is THEIR child, no less than if she was their blood. She is her parents world.

I know a same sex couple who recently had a baby boy through a sperm donor. Only one of the mothers in biologically related, but that boy has TWO moms, and I think it would be unfathomable for them to think bio mom loves him more.

If you BOTH are committed to each other, and both want a child (D3 Gold), AND he's behind the donor idea, I say do it. But talk to him first, make sure he knows your worries and then let him reduce your fears.
