What does all that bio/CV/gossip have to do with whether or not his music is any good (Diablo 3 Gold), and do you really need to have a hack writer for the NYT to pose the question? Do you not have a mind of your own? (BTW, I have a very low opinion of the NYT.)

The answer is simple, bad music does not endure.

Like all composers, some people like them others do not, it's a matter of taste. Every composer has pieces best left unplayed as well, what percent of their ouvre falls into that catagory probably has something to do with why they are or aren't well regarded now. Then, of course (Diablo 3 Gold), there are one hit wonders (yes, in any era).

If you enjoy his music, does it matter what anyone else thinks? Or vice versa, for that matter.
